The Cleveland Browns have activated Nick Chubb from the injured reserve, and the star running back will play in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Chubb has been out since Week 5 due to an MCL sprain in his right knee. His return should bolster the Browns' sixth-ranked rushing offense.

He had accumulated 335 rushing yards and four touchdowns over the four games prior to suffering the injury in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Kareem Hunt has carried the load in Chubb's absence, rushing for 529 yards and three touchdowns through eight games.

The Texans own the league's second-worst run defense, allowing 159.5 yards on the ground per game.
