Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers moved into fifth place on the NFL's all-time passing yards list with an 11-yard first-quarter completion to Jonathan Taylor in Thursday's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Rivers passed Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino for the spot. Marino finished his Hall of Fame career with 61,361 yards through the air.

Rivers is in his 17th NFL campaign. The 38-year-old spent 16 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers franchise before signing with Indianapolis this offseason.

One of the toughest and most durable quarterbacks in recent memory, Rivers is an eight-time Pro Bowler and led the NFL in passing yards in 2010.

Rivers may be finished moving up the league's all-time list, as Brett Favre sits at No. 4 with 71,838 career passing yards.
