Atlanta Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley didn't return to Thursday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to an ankle injury, the team announced.
Ridley suffered the injury after making a second-quarter reception. He was seen holding his foot in pain before limping to the sideline and then to the locker room.
X-rays were negative on the 25-year-old's foot Thursday night, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. Ridley will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine if he can return next week.
The third-year wideout recorded three catches for 42 yards before leaving the game.
Ridley entered the night leading the Falcons with 40 receptions. He was also third in the league in receiving yards with 615 and tied for second in touchdown receptions with six.
