Washington Football Team linebacker Jon Bostic isn't expected to be suspended for the headshot that knocked Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton out of Week 7, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bostic was ejected Sunday following the hit. Dalton flew back to Dallas with his teammates but had no memory of the play, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota.

Bostic has started the first seven games of the season for Washington, posting 52 tackles and two sacks.

Dalton was eventually assisted off the field by trainers, avoiding the cart that initially came out to take him. The Cowboys pressed rookie seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci into action once Dalton left the game.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy expressed disappointment following Dallas' loss in Dalton's teammates' lack of response to the hit.
