Watch: Lions stun Falcons with last-second TD after Gurley's goal-line gaffe
The Atlanta Falcons suffered another late-game collapse Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
The Falcons took a 22-16 lead with just over a minute remaining, despite running back Todd Gurley's best efforts to stop before the end zone and allow the clock to run down.
With Detroit out of timeouts, Atlanta could've set themselves up for a chip-shot field goal to win the game.

The Lions took full advantage of the extra time Gurley gifted them. Quarterback Matthew Stafford hit two downfield passes to get Detroit close to the end zone and then found tight end T.J. Hockenson for the game-tying touchdown as time expired.
Kicker Matt Prater sealed the 23-22 win when he nailed the extra point following an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Lions for excessive celebration.

The loss pushes Atlanta to 1-6 and adrift at the bottom of the NFC South. Meanwhile, Detroit improves to 3-3 with its second straight victory.
