Report: Brown's deal with Buccaneers worth up to $2.5M
Antonio Brown's one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers carries a maximum value of $2.5 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is expected to officially ink the deal Monday.
Brown agreed to sign with the Buccaneers on Friday, though he won't be eligible to play before Week 9. The 32-year-old was suspended eight weeks to open the season for multiple violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Brown can earn $1 million in base salary and roster bonuses. He can also secure another $750,000 for a Super Bowl LV victory and has a trio of $250,000 bonuses tied up in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. His performance incentives are contingent on the Buccaneers making the playoffs, according to Schefter.
The Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Ravens were linked to Brown before his agreement with Tampa Bay, which reunites him with quarterback Tom Brady.
Brown played alongside Brady for one game with the New England Patriots last year before being released for off-field reasons.
A longtime star with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown ranks 35th in receiving yards on the NFL's all-time leaderboard.
