New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas will miss his fifth consecutive game Sunday versus the Carolina Panthers because of ankle and hamstring injuries, the team announced.
Thomas, who suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 1 and hasn't played since, tweaked his hamstring during Wednesday's practice.
The wideout was prepared to return from his ankle injury prior to New Orleans' bye, but he sat out Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers after reportedly getting into a confrontation with teammates and coaches.
Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway figure to get most of the team's snaps at wide receiver on Sunday. Emmanuel Sanders was also ruled out after being placed on the COVID-19 list.
