Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette won't play versus the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury.
Fournette was reportedly on track to suit up for Week 6, making his inactive status a surprising development ahead of a pivotal NFC matchup against undefeated Green Bay.
Fournette has battled a bad ankle for much of the season, with the injury forcing him to sit out a Week 4 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
In four outings this year, the former Jacksonville Jaguars workhorse has logged 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He's averaged 5.1 yards per carry, which would be a career best over a full season.
