Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell is out indefinitely after suffering PCL and MCL injuries in Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, head coach Frank Reich told reporters Monday, via Joel Erickson of the Indianapolis Star.

Meanwhile, safety Malik Hooker will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn Achilles, Reich confirmed. The Colts reportedly feared the former first-round defensive back tore his Achilles tendon, and an MRI confirmed it.

There was initial optimism regarding Campbell after reports that he avoided an ACL injury, but it appears the wideout - who dealt with injuries throughout his rookie campaign - will still miss significant time. Reich said the Colts haven't determined whether Campbell will need surgery.

The sophomore pass-catcher was one of Indy's lone bright spots in the Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He racked up a team-high 71 yards on six catches.

Hooker's latest major injury could spell the end of his time in Indy. The AFC South club opted not to pick up the safety's fifth-year option, making him a free agent in 2021.

Drafted 15th overall in 2017, Hooker starred as a rookie until his debut campaign was cut short by an ACL injury.

The safety was able to play in 27 regular-season games in the following two seasons, but injuries still plagued him. Hooker missed time with hip, foot, and further knee issues.

Hooker will be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie third-round safety Julian Blackmon, who recently returned to full health after tearing his ACL in college. Campbell's injury will mean more playing time for Zach Pascal and rookie Michael Pittman Jr.

The Colts have been hit hard by injuries to start the season. Running back Marlon Mack also suffered a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 1.
