Week 2 was not kind to a large number of NFL stars.

The incredible rash of injuries was headlined by New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and San Francisco 49ers pass-rusher Nick Bosa, who both suffered knee injuries. Christian McCaffrey also exited late in the Carolina Panthers' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and did not return.

At least a few of the injuries appeared serious, as the Giants fear Barkley suffered a torn ACL and the 49ers fear Bosa has the same injury.

The 49ers were hit harder than others on Sunday. In addition to Bosa, three players exited early into their Week 2 contest, including quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and starting running back Raheem Mostert.

Here's a list of key players who were either ruled out early or were unable to re-enter after being listed as questionable.
