Report: Wentz day-to-day with minor soft tissue injury
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz won't participate in Sunday's practice and is day-to-day with a soft tissue injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Wentz's injury is reportedly considered minor. The Eagles are taking a cautious approach and fully expect him to be healthy in time for Week 1, reports NBCS's Dave Zangaro.
Philadelphia has suffered multiple injuries during training camp, most notably losing left tackle Andre Dillard and right guard Brandon Brooks for the season.
Right tackle Lane Johnson has missed the last seven practices with a lower body injury, according to 94 WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks. Miles Sanders, Derek Barnett, and Javon Hargrave are among a handful of other players who have missed significant camp action.
Wentz himself has struggled with injuries for a portion of his NFL career thus far. He suffered a concussion during the Eagles' wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks in January, and also missed time with a torn ACL and back injury over the last three years.
