Reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Nick Bosa is week-to-week with a muscle strain in his leg, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.
Bosa felt soreness in his legs Friday and received a day off from practice on Saturday, but the issue persisted.
"Glad we ended up getting the MRI because there was more to it," Shanahan said. "He was about to go out and practice through it, because he didn't think it was much, and fortunately we got that, and we were able to prevent him from hurting it worse."
Fellow Niners defensive end Dee Ford has irritation in his right calf but isn't expected to miss much time. Receiver Brandon Aiyuk has a hamstring strain and is also considered week-to-week.
