New York Jets safety Jamal Adams responded to Wednesday's report that the U.S. State Department inspector general investigated team co-owner Woody Johnson over allegations of racist and sexist remarks as well using his government post to benefit President Donald Trump's business interests in the United Kingdom.

Christopher Johnson, who owns the Jets with his brother, has acted as the team's CEO and chairman ever since Trump appointed Woody as U.S. ambassador to the U.K. in 2017.
Adams' public criticism of Johnson comes while the Pro Bowl safety faces an uncertain future. He requested a trade from New York in June, but the AFC East club is reportedly determined to keep him.
The former first-round pick's request came after the Jets apparently failed to put forward an offer for a new contract as promised.
Adams reportedly would sign off on a move to the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, or Seattle Seahawks.
