It's safe to say Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was extremely impressed with cornerback Jeff Okudah at the NFL combine.
"I'm talking football with Jon Gruden, and he says, 'Hey man, are you from planet Earth?'" Okudah recounted Friday, according to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. "It's crazy to think about that because he's someone who's been around some great football minds. For him to say that, I was like (to myself) 'You're here, man.'"
Okudah, a product of Ohio State, is widely expected to be the first cornerback selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Texas native recorded three interceptions and seven pass breakups during an All-American campaign for the Buckeyes in 2019. He was also seldom penalized.

Okudah has been most heavily linked to the Detroit Lions, who need help at cornerback and hold the No. 3 overall pick.
