The Baltimore Ravens announced a contract extension for cornerback Marcus Peters on Saturday.

Peters agreed to a three-year, $42-million deal that includes $32 million in guarantees, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. He'll make $20.5 million in the first year of his new contract.

Baltimore acquired the three-time Pro Bowler from the Los Angeles Rams in October to solidify its secondary, and the team hasn't lost a game since.

Peters was set to hit free agency in 2020 but is now signed through his age-29 season.

The 26-year-old's average annual salary of $14 million will make him the NFL's sixth-highest paid cornerback.

Peters has accumulated 52 tackles and three interceptions across 15 starts this season.
