The Philadelphia Eagles have rewarded kicker Jake Elliott with a five-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.

Elliott's deal, which runs through the 2024 season, is worth around $21.8 million and contains $10.45 million in guaranteed money, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The yearly average and total guarantees both rank third at Elliott's position.

The 24-year-old was a fifth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017, but Philadelphia signed him off the AFC North club's practice squad just after the start of that year's regular season.

Elliott, who was part of the Eagles' Super Bowl-winning team as a rookie, had a message for fans after inking his new deal:

Elliott is 14-of-14 on field goals and 21-of-23 on extra points this season.
