Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs was critical for the Los Angeles Chargers' dwindling playoff hopes.

The Chargers lost 24-17 to fall to 4-7 on the season and two-and-a-half games out of the final playoff spot in the AFC.

"We talked all along about everything we wanted was still in front of us and, yes, we needed to win this game today, but I felt like we could have won this game today and won out, we could control our own destiny. But now, obviously, I don't feel that way," Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said postgame.

The Chargers trail both the Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders in their division and currently sit 12th in the AFC standings.

The Bolts have a bye in Week 12 before facing consecutive road games against the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars.

"I still think we have enough to win next week and beyond that, but we're probably going to need some help," Lynn acknowledged.
