Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen's return from his hamstring injury didn't last long.

After missing Week 8 with the ailment, Thielen seemed fit to return for his club's tilt with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. However, he left the contest early in the first half and didn't return after re-aggravating his injured hamstring.

Head coach Mike Zimmer gave a vague update Monday on the two-time Pro Bowler's status.

"I'm not sure, honestly. Whenever the doctors say he's ready, he's ready," Zimmer said.

Minnesota's passing attack survived without Thielen against the lowly Washington Redskins in Week 8, but he was sorely missed during the 26-23 loss at Arrowhead Stadium. Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed only 50% of his passes while Thielen's receiving mate, Stefon Diggs, managed just one catch for 4 yards.

Thielen originally picked up the ailment in Week 7, but it was reportedly not considered serious at the time.

The Minnesota native has totaled 391 yards and six touchdowns on 27 grabs through eight games this season.
