Report: Standoff between Trent Williams, Redskins likely to last all season
Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams, who has been holding out through the first five weeks of the season in the hopes of being traded, will not be dealt before the end of the 2019 campaign, a source told 106.7 The Fan's Craig Hoffman.
Team president Bruce Allen apparently told Williams a few weeks ago the team had no interest in trading the former All-Pro before season's end, according to Hoffman.

Meanwhile, the seven-time Pro Bowl tackle has no plans to return to the team anytime soon, a source close to Williams told ESPN's Dianna Russini.
The holdout stems from a tiff with the team's medical staff, who Williams thought handled a growth on his head poorly, sources told ESPN's John Keim. The Redskins place the blame squarely on Williams' shoulders for missing several appointments, adds Keim.
If Williams wanted to come back this season and avoid his contract tolling another year, a return during the team's Week 10 bye would be a strong possibility. If he does not return, the Redskins will retain his rights for another two seasons.
Washington has struggled during the Oklahoma product's absence and has replaced him with 36-year-old Donald Penn, with second-year pro Geron Christian waiting in the wings.
