Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks after tearing his meniscus Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Hooker returned to the field despite suffering the injury.

The Colts selected the Ohio State product at No. 15 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He's battled multiple injuries and has missed 12 games since entering the league.

Hooker's absence is a blow to Indianapolis' stingy pass defense. George Odum and Khari Willis will see snaps at safety in the interim.
