The injury bug hit the Philadelphia Eagles hard during their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson suffered calf and groin injuries, respectively, early in the game. Neither was able to return.

Second-string tight end Dallas Goedert was also forced out with a calf injury and did not re-enter the game.

Finally, quarterback Carson Wentz appeared to suffer an injury early in the first quarter when Falcons linebacker Deion Jones hit him hard. Following another hit late in the half, Wentz entered the NFL's concussion protocol and Josh McCown briefly replaced him.

Center Jason Kelce and receiver Nelson Agholor were both evaluated for head injuries, but they quickly cleared the concussion protocol.

Things didn't get easier for Philadelphia in the second half. The team announced that defensive tackle Tim Jernigan is being evaluated for a foot injury, and running back Corey Clement was sidelined after hurting his shoulder.
