The New York Jets will wait until the regular season to unveil prized free-agent signing Le'Veon Bell.
Head coach Adam Gase announced Sunday that Bell won't play in the Jets' remaining two preseason games, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Gase previously stated his hesitation to overwork Bell, who sat out the 2018 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a contract dispute.
Although the star running back was on a pitch count during training camp, Bell said last month he's "up for 500" carries to help New York reach the Super Bowl.
The Jets signed Bell to a four-year, $52.5-million deal in March. They open the 2019 campaign at home against the rival Buffalo Bills Sept. 8.
