Report: Cooper not rushing new deal, waiting on top WRs to raise market
Dallas Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper is in no rush to secure his new contract and is awaiting the league's best wideouts to ink new agreements, sources told Yahoo's Charles Robinson.
Cooper believes new deals for Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, and Tyreek Hill will raise the market for receivers, Robinson added.
The 25-year-old will reportedly be attending training camp even without a new deal.
Cooper, along with teammates Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Byron Jones, and Jaylon Smith, are all candidates for long-term extensions with the Cowboys.
The three-time Pro Bowler was Dallas' leading receiving option after being acquired from the Oakland Raiders mid-season last year. He totaled 75 catches, 1,005 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in 2018.
