Trent Brown accused of domestic violence, threatening to shoot girlfriend

Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Trent Brown faces a lawsuit accusing him of domestic violence against the mother of his child, according to ESPN.
Brown allegedly slapped, punched, and choked Diorra Marzette-Sanders on multiple occasions beginning in 2018. In the lawsuit, she says the attacks left her "bruised, bloodied, and battered," and caused her to live in fear of him.
"We're aware of it and we're looking into it," head coach Jon Gruden said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. "Not going to say anything else, but we're aware of it."
Brown also released a short statement denying the allegations.
I am aware that my ex-girlfriend has filed a civil suit against me. I deny the claims. They are false. I believe in the court system where I will clear my name. I will not be making any further comment at this time.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed in Alameda County Superior Court, Sanders filed a police report in June 2019 after she said Brown bruised her arm and slapped her.
Brown and Sanders started dating in March 2017 and had a child together in January 2019, the lawsuit states. Brown allegedly told her he would "shoot yo' ass in the fucking head before you walk out that door with my son." They had a non-marital partnership agreement, she says.
Brown is in the first season of a four-year, $66-million contract he signed with the Raiders during free agency. The deal made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL. Brown had a breakout season with the New England Patriots in 2018 after spending the first three seasons of his career with the San Francisco 49ers.
