Former NFL running back Darren McFadden has been charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest after a January incident, TMZ Sports reports.
McFadden is facing jail time for the two misdemeanors if convicted.
The 31-year-old was arrested on Jan. 21 when police found him asleep at the wheel in a Whataburger drive-thru in McKinney, Texas. He resisted officers, and multiple windows were smashed on McFadden's car in the resulting struggle. He was released shortly after being taken into custody.
McFadden retired from football in November 2017 after splitting his 10-year career between the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.
