The Los Angeles Rams will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 17 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii for a preseason game, the team announced Thursday.

Los Angeles announced in November the decision to play in Hawaii but did not reveal an opponent or game details. The contest is slated to be played during the second week of the preseason.

"We are pleased to join with the Hawaii Tourism Authority to develop opportunities for Rams fans to express their support both in Los Angeles and in Hawaii all year round," Rams executive vice president Jamie Reigle said in November. "We look forward to bringing NFL football back to Hawaii and hosting the first preseason game there in more than four decades. The game will be the centerpiece of a partnership aimed at strengthening the ties between the two regions and showcasing Hawaii's virtues as a premier tourist destination."

Aloha Stadium hosted the Pro Bowl for many years, but the NFL opted to move the event in 2015.

The Rams beat the Cowboys 30-22 in the NFC divisional round during the 2018 playoffs.
