Martellus Bennett won't be joining his brother on the New England Patriots.
After the Patriots acquired defensive end Michael Bennett from the Philadelphia Eagles, reports surfaced that Martellus was interested in coming out of retirement to join his brother in New England. However, the former tight end put those reports to bed with an Instagram post.
"I would love to play ball with my brother, it would truly be a dream come true," the 33-year-old said. "But my biggest dream is to change lives with my creativity and that is what I am currently doing."
Martellus retired prior to the 2018 season after the Patriots released him. He helped the team capture Super Bowl LI during the 2016 season.
