The 13-year veteran defensive tackle is retiring from the NFL, and made the announcement Monday from atop Mount Kilimanjaro - the highest mountain in Africa.

Ngata, a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro, won the Super Bowl in 2012 with the Baltimore Ravens. He was a first-round pick who spent his first nine seasons in Baltimore before signing with the Detroit Lions in 2015 and then spending the 2018 season with the Philadelphia Eagles.
