Dallas Cowboys pass-rusher Randy Gregory has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy and the terms of his conditional reinstatement, according to a league statement.
It's Gregory's fourth such suspension since entering the league in 2015.
The defensive lineman failed a drug test at the 2015 combine. He was initially suspended four games in 2016, then drew a 10-game ban later that season, and finally earned a yearlong ban in 2017.
After playing in just two games over two years, Gregory appeared in 14 games in 2018, recording 25 tackles and six sacks.
With the expected departure of fellow defensive lineman and impending free agent David Irving, the Cowboys will be further pressed to re-sign stud pass-rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and keep him from hitting free agency.
