Safety prospect Deionte Thompson will likely miss the NFL Scouting Combine while recovering from surgery, sources told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
The Alabama star underwent the procedure Friday morning for a torn ligament in his wrist, according to Rapoport, who adds it is not considered a long-term issue. Thompson is expected to be one of the first safeties drafted in April.
He finished the 2018 campaign with 78 total tackles, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.
