Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns has received an outpouring of support from NFL players and fans alike since being carted off the field with a gruesome leg injury in the first half of Saturday's NFC wild-card game.

On Sunday, NFL Network's Jane Slater shared a letter her friend's son, Luke, wrote to Hurns.

"I saw the Cowboys, Seahawks game last night. I saw you get hurt. I hope you are okay," the letter reads. "Don't worry, you have the best doctors in the world. I prayed four times for you. You will get way better shortly."

Luke's mother, Kim McSwain, said her son was looking for a football card to include with his letter.

Hurns underwent surgery on his broken fibula and expects to be ready for the start of next season.

The Cowboys went on to beat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 24-22 to advance to the NFC divisional round.
