The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to interview special assistant Hue Jackson for their head coaching vacancy, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jackson could be interviewed as early as Wednesday, according to Rapoport.

The 53-year-old former Browns head coach posted a 3-36-1 cumulative record with Cleveland before being fired Oct. 29. Jackson also spent the 2011 season as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.

Former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis reportedly endorsed Jackson for the job, while the club's special teams coach, Darrin Simmons, and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor already interviewed for the role.

Cincinnati is reportedly meeting with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and former Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph, as well as several other candidates.
