The Oakland Raiders are signing former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman to the practice squad, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Peterman began the year as the Bills' starter for Week 1, but the team elected to release him on Nov. 12.

The 24-year-old's tenure with the Bills didn't go as planned, to say the least. Peterman completed 54.3 percent of his passes for 296 yards and one touchdown against seven interceptions in four games during the 2018 season.

Peterman's 10.2 interception percentage ranks sixth worst since 1990. As the Raiders' season comes to an end, it'll be compelling to see whether the team views him as a viable long-term backup to Derek Carr.
