New York Giants star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 16 game against the Indianapolis Colts with a quad injury.

Beckham missed the past two games and then every practice this week. It's possible the Giants shut him down with only one contest left and their playoff hopes long extinguished.

The 26-year-old Beckham missed out on a Pro Bowl selection this week, but he still broke the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth time in five seasons.

The Giants will attempt to play the role of spoiler on Sunday, as the Colts are still in the AFC playoff race after shutting out the Dallas Cowboys last week.
