The New York Giants ruled out wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins due to a bruised quadriceps.

Head coach Pat Shurmur had been adamant that his star wideout would be able to suit up despite being listed as limited in Friday's practice, according to Art Stapleton of The Record.

Beckham caught just three of nine targets for 35 yards and a touchdown during the Giants' Week 13 win over the Chicago Bears. He also passed once for a 49-yard score.

The three-time Pro Bowler has caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns over 12 games this season. He ranks 10th in the league in receiving yards and 13th in catches.
