Detroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker let his excitement get the better of him after scoring his first career touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The 25-year-old third-year pro scored on an 11-yard reception from quarterback Matthew Stafford. Caught up in the moment, Decker tossed the ball into the stands in celebration.
"That's my first-ever touchdown," Decker said postgame, according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN. "Been playing football since first grade, always been an O-lineman. So for my first touchdown to come as a left tackle in the NFL is pretty d--- cool.
"And I think I threw a duck into the stands. So whatever fan has that ball, I'd like it back."
Decker also took to social media following the Lions' 30-16 loss to request the return of his would-be trophy case staple, telling fans he'd be "more than happy to make it worth your while."
