The Chicago Bears will likely turn to Chase Daniel as the starter for Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions, as Mitchell Trubisky deals with an injury to his throwing shoulder, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Bears officially listed Trubisky as doubtful, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Rapoport added that the 24-year-old probably could've suited up had the game been played Sunday.

Trubisky experienced soreness and issues with movement Tuesday morning, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The young quarterback is dealing with an AC joint sprain but the Bears believe it will be just a one-week injury, sources told Schefter.

Chicago promoted Tyler Bray from the practice squad to serve as Daniel's backup against the Lions.
