Cleveland Browns fan and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice issued a statement Sunday afternoon addressing the team's reported interest in her for its head coaching vacancy.

Rice expressed her love for the Browns and said she knows they'll find a good replacement for Hue Jackson, who was fired after a 2-5-1 start to the year and replaced by interim head coach Gregg Williams.

She went on to say she hopes the NFL will start bringing women into coaching positions and even offered to "call a play or two" for Cleveland next season.

Browns general manager John Dorsey released a statement on behalf of the team Sunday denying Cleveland's reported interest in Rice.

Rice's most recent Instagram post was a photo of her at Cleveland's Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders with a caption stating: "I'm excited for the Browns' future!"
