The high-flying New Orleans Saints have won eight straight games, but that apparently has done nothing to curb head coach Sean Payton's intensity.

Before Sunday's 51-14 destruction of the Cincinnati Bengals, a fire alarm sounded at Paul Brown Stadium for around 15 minutes, prompting the Saints head coach to smash the alarm in the visitor's locker room, according to Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

The cause of the alarm is unknown, but the Bengals said they informed the authorities.

"We are aware of this situation and have been in touch with the authorities, but have nothing more on it at this time," the Bengals said in a statement.

The Saints declined to comment after the game when asked about the situation.
