Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will miss his fifth straight game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers due to a shoulder injury, head coach Adam Gase told reporters Wednesday.

Gase's goal is for Tannehill to return for a Week 12 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, following the Dolphins' Week 11 bye.

The 30-year-old signal-caller was a surprise inactive in Week 6 despite not showing up on the team's injury report throughout the week.

In Tannehill's absence, the Dolphins have turned to quarterback Brock Osweiler who's thrown for 1034 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions.

The Dolphins currently stand second in the AFC East with a 5-4 record.

Before being sidelined, Tannehill collected 972 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions.
