Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon suffered an MCL injury Sunday versus the Arizona Cardinals, ESPN's Eric Williams reports.

A defender was blocked into Gordon's leg in the third quarter of an eventual Chargers win. After being taken to the locker room, he was ruled questionable to return.

Gordon exited the game after taking 10 carries for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

He's expected to undergo further evaluation on Monday, but there's a real possibility he won't make next week's battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Williams adds.
