Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left practice early Tuesday after going down during seven-on-seven drills, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The Steelers later announced that Roethlisberger is being evaluated for a concussion.

Roethlisberger was on the ground for a few minutes after falling back while throwing a pass. He appeared to hit his head on the turf but left under his own power with trainers.

The star pivot spoke to general manager Kevin Colbert and head trainer John Norwig before exiting the session.

Roethlisberger has suffered three head-related injuries since entering the NFL, according to sportsinjurypredictor.com, most recently suffering a concussion during the 2015 season.
