Former head coach Jeff Fisher wants to someday make his way back to an NFL sideline, but he may be intercepted before he can get there.
FOX Sports is reportedly talking to Fisher about serving as a game analyst for the 2018 season, sources told Michael McCarthy of the Sporting News.
The network is paying around $550 million per year through 2022 for the rights to Thursday Night Football, according to Sports Business Daily. FOX reportedly offered the analyst job for that broadcast to Peyton Manning but was rejected.
Fisher lost Super Bowl XXXIV as head coach of the Tennessee Titans, one of six postseason appearances in his coaching career. He was fired by the Los Angeles Rams after a 4-9 start to the 2016 season.
