Report: Airport employee arrested after punching 'Pacman'

Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

An employee at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta was arrested on two counts of battery after punching Adam "Pacman" Jones during an altercation Tuesday evening, police told TMZ Sports.

It's unclear what sparked the incident, but officials told TMZ Sports that the employee, Frank Ragin, made a gesture toward Jones, leading the NFLer to confront him. TMZ Sports posted a video of the fight, which contains coarse language and graphic content, on Youtube.

"Mr. Ragin eventually struck Mr. Jones with a closed fist ... causing a laceration to Mr. Jones' face," police said. "Mr. Jones then started to defend himself, causing Mr. Ragin to fall to the ground."

Jones was traveling with a woman, who was also hit in the incident and suffered an injury to her hand. Neither Jones nor his companion were seriously injured.

Jones, 34, is currently a free agent. He spent the previous eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He has an extensive history of legal issues but wasn't deemed the primary aggressor in this instance.

The episode is still under police investigation.
