Rob Gronkowski has committed to the 2018 season, but actor and New England Patriots superfan Mark Wahlberg may have given him an incentive to leave football behind for a career in Hollywood.
Wahlberg offered Gronkowski some words of advice on an episode of his A&E show "Wahlburgers."
"Hey, you do what's right for you. Always," Wahlberg said. "Think about the next 20, 30 years, ya know? Having your health?"
Gronkowski then asked Wahlberg about his upcoming movie projects.
"I'm shooting a movie with the guys that did 'Daddy's Home,' called 'Instant Family.' We're doing that now and then we're doing 'Six Billion Dollar Man.' So if you retire, we gotta put you in this movie, baby," Wahlberg said.
"I like that," Gronkowski replied.
Gronkowski has dabbled in acting before, making cameos in "Entourage," "Family Guy," and "American Violence." He's also been cast in the action film "Boss Level," starring Frank Grillo and Mel Gibson, according to The Tracking Board.
