Report: Saints tab Terrance West as winner of RB auditions

The New Orleans Saints will sign running back Terrance West, a source told Herbie Teope of NFL.com.

West was part of group workout Wednesday that reportedly also included veteran running backs Jamaal Charles and Tim Hightower.

The 27-year-old could help fill the void left by Mark Ingram's season-opening four-game suspension, though he'll likely be competing for a roster spot with Daniel Lasco, Jonathan Williams, Trey Edmunds, and rookie Boston Scott.

West started four games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2017 and totaled 138 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 23 receiving yards over five total games.

A third-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2014, West has played for the Browns, Ravens, and Tennessee Titans.
