Quarterback Nick Foles said Tuesday he was never told about a trade offer that would send him to the Cleveland Browns, and he certainly didn't ask the Philadelphia Eagles to refrain from making the deal before they acquired Tyrod Taylor, according to Jeff McLane of Philly.com.

A report last week claimed the Eagles rejected the Browns' offer after running the scenario by Foles, who preferred to remain in Philadelphia - even as a backup to Carson Wentz.

Foles came off the bench late last season to relieve an injured Wentz, and led the Eagles all the way to a Super Bowl LII championship.
