Giants' Shurmur: Beckham nearing medical clearance on ankle

New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur told reporters Tuesday that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is nearing medical clearance on his injured ankle, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.

Beckham has been a limited participant in team workouts throughout the offseason as he continues to recover from last year's ankle surgery.

The 25-year-old was absent from New York's organized team activity Tuesday, but Shurmur said he knew ahead of time that Beckham wouldn't be there.
