Mack misses start of OTAs as extension negotiations reportedly stall

Oakland Raiders star defensive end Khalil Mack was absent for the start of organized team activities Tuesday, according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Mack is expected to receive a big-money contract extension this offseason. His absence from OTAs was expected, however, as Gehlen noted that negotiations have stalled.

Mack has stayed away from the team throughout the voluntary part of the offseason. The pass-rusher is likely pushing for a deal similar to that of Von Miller, who averages just over $19 million per season.

Complicating matters further is that fellow Defensive Player of the Year winner Aaron Donald is also awaiting his own mega-extension from the Los Angeles Rams, and it's possible =both teams are waiting for the other to set the market.
