The Philadelphia Eagles ended a 57-year championship drought by capturing Super Bowl LII in February, setting off a long-awaited celebration in the City of Brotherly Love.
One would assume that after waiting for so long to enjoy success, the team and city would be satisfied with their first Super Bowl win in the 52nd edition of the game.
Not so, according to center Jason Kelce, who insisted the defending champs are hungry for more.
"We've been a starving dog for 52 years (since the Super Bowl's inception) and one bowl of food isn't going to suffice," Kelce said on NFL Network's Good Morning Football on Wednesday.
The Eagles blazed through the 2017 postseason buoyed by an "underdog" mantra that may carry over into the upcoming season.
"I still don't know that we're getting the respect that we should be getting as the defending Super Bowl champions," he said.
